TLC cancels Kate + 8, replaces it with Hillbilly Toe Fishing

Posted on August 17, 2011 by Ima Jeane Poole

TLC has cancelled the once popular Kate + 8 this season due to lack of viewers. TLC is replacing the show with Hillbilly Toe Fishing. Hillbilly Toe Fishing, similar to the already popular Hillbilly Hand Fishing, is a show based out of Knoxville, TN, where the host shows tourists how to ‘noodle’, fish for catfish with their toes. Men can, but are advised against, using other dangling appendages. Viewers can tune in each week for a 30 minute show that’s sure to include a hospital visit for at least one of the participants when they have a finger or toe bitten ‘clean through’ by the catfish, or get sick from eating catfish from our local waters.
