Phil Bredesen, the 48th governor of Tennessee, said Monday night he would order as many as 25 members of the Civil Air Patrol and a handful of Eagle Scouts to secure the Tennessee border with Northern states. “I know I speak for everyone that works beneath me when I say that we simply cannot allow the Northern influence to continue in our great state. Most of the drain on Tenncare can be directly tied to people that were not even born in Tennessee, and don’t even get me started on Ohio.” Bredesen continued to rule out deportation, but asked those that have moved to Tennessee within the past 15 years to do the right thing and just leave.
